March is National Kidney Month. Most adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) do not know they have it — with many missing the opportunity to avoid irreversible loss of kidney function and ultimately kidney failure.

On March 13, guest speaker Dr. Oluwafisayo Adebiyi will explain how common and what CKD is and we will share findings from a new research brief from the State of Aging in Central Indiana Report. A panel discussion will follow to discuss local services and support for discovering whether you or your loved ones have CKD and how to maximize quality of life with the disease.

Dr. Oluwafisayo Adebiyi, a nephrologist in Indianapolis with expertise in treating chronic kidney disease, heart failure, hypertension, among other conditions, will present important concerns about CKD. He is affiliated with Indiana University Health Medical Center and Indiana University Health West Hospital. Adebiyi received his medical degree from University of Ilorin Faculty of Health Sciences (Nigeria) and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
